  2. Back in the early 70s when I should have been studying history I found myself in the Humboldt Library going through copies of Graphis. I remember seeing Vin Guiliani's work and thinking "that's what I want to do." I'm still thinking that. Thanks for the memory.

  3. Thank you both. David, I tracked down this book series after seeing one of its Alessandrini illustrations in an old Graphis (what a resource). I will definitely investigate Vin Guiliani.

  5. What a coincidence! After posting about Cieslewicz today on Tumblr I've just run into this blog post via Google Reader. I was delighted to find works by Topor and Cieslewicz here, who formed “Mouvement panique” in Paris in 1962.

  6. Thanks, though I looked into the Panic movement (through Topor, Arrabal, Jodorowsky), for some reason Cieslewicz's name never stuck in my head. I will keep my eye out for his work. Love the poster.
