Well, I have to admit I'd never heard of Helga Aichinger, but these images are really lovely, aren't they? Mysterious and full of hidden depths, which is appropriate for someone who appears to have been born in a place called Traum. She may well still be alive, so perhaps you will hear from her... if only in your dreams.
I had the book "The Rain Mouse" as a child, and the fascinating illustrations have stayed with me since then. Now I really want to know more about Helga Aichinger. Thanks for posting this!
