  3. I own a copy of the "Bend Sinister" edition pictured here. Unfortunately, it's shoddy as hell--the cover's unbelievably stiff, the binding's weak, etc. It's one of those books that starts falling apart the second you crack it. Still, it does look dope.

    Conroy, I'm one of those freaks who never cracks a spine, but I can see how cracking one of these editions would cause the book to fall apart. I like the stiff covers though -- I think it helped many of these 40+ year old editions survive in nice shape.
