What a coincidence, I just read The Absolute at Large and the little book Dashenka:or The Life of a Puppy, which is full of cute and simple illustrations of a fox terrier. I didn't know he made book covers too.
I find it strange that when i am up festering at night looking for a brain feast, it may take a while of googling but i always end up here once or twice a nice for something odd.. Good Day!
I love Čapek and his brother's work as well, thanks!
