Takeo Takei, Children's Days in Japan, 1936 pamphlet

This post now resides on my other site 50 Watts:

  1. I have one volume in the series: Handmade Paper of Japan. As soon as I figure out where it is I'll check the illustrator.

The interesting thing is that if I remember correctly the copyright date was during the war, so I suspect that not many copies were sold to the English-speaking tourists for which it was intended.

  2. I recently found a copy of this same book--children's day in Japan dated 1936. It is in excellent condition. I usually sell antique toys and children's books, but was not certain how to price this. I love the illustrations!
