Wow, I didn't know there was a leaflet war at the German border. Some of the texts and cartoons are really satirical and not goofy at all.
Yes, there is definitely some satire going on. I personally like Contra's little-bit-of-everything approach. (Almost as random as A Journey Round My Skull!)
