  4. In 2008 Slovart published an 800 page Monograph of Josef Lada. I've seen the book in Prague, and it's incredible.
My personal favourite Lada period is the transition from his early Feiningeresque graphic design to the beginnings of his folk art inspired work, which would become his signature style. Roughly between 1910 to 1920 Lada begins to incorporate folk art stylization and flatten the perspective, but there's still this expressionist energy to his compositions. At this time he's also drawing full page newspaper comics !
