These illustrations are terrific. I love the flow and strength of the lines in these drawings.If I hadn't read they were etchings I would have mistaken them for charcoal drawings I guess. I am so glad that there are so many links to look through too.
Wonderful! I didn't know about neither this edition of Simplcissimus, nor this artist. These works truly capture the book's "proto-magical-realism" feel.
