  2. Awesome! I'd barely seen any of his work before now. He and Schulz were both remarkable artists.

  3. After the publisher description of Maciej Korbowa and Bellatrix, does anyone want to read the actual work? It couldn't possibly be as good...

  4. Thanks for introducing me to this fellow. I have to agree with him about cocaine, based on personal experience back in the day. His paintings here - a little Kandinsky, a little futurism maybe? Looking forward to learning more.

  5. A post on Witkiewicz would not be complete without a mention of Rules of the S.I.Witkiewicz Portrait-Painting Firm (1928).

  6. Witkacy's artwork is fantastic, so close to A.O. Spare's work, automatic and not. I wanted to put a little tip out there for folks...if you see "authentic" Witkacy drawings for sale on certain popular auction sites, tread carefully. All things are not what they seem! It is baffling that someone would make the effort to fake these pieces, but they are out there!

  7. Although I'm not an art expert by any means, I am loving the images you've gathered for this blog!
