Thank you for one more great post. The book transcribed as Chehar Khuia, 1926 is The Snow book by Vitaly Bianki, illustrated by Nickolaj Tyrsa. It 's pronounced like Snezhnaya kniga. That's a pity there is no possibility to leave a comment on Curious Pages.
