  1. Hello. I recently came across your blog because I'm writing a fiction book in the vein of Karinthy about a fantastic country where women have all the power, while men are nothing but pale shadows of their former selves. I was guided to this rather obscure writer by someone who sensed the similarities. I never read Karinthy, but I'm curious about your opinions on the "Capillaria". I couldn't find a review of it on you blog. Before I grab a copy myself (which will take some time), how did you find the book and what are its main themes? Thank you

  2. Hi Silviu. I haven't read it, but it's not too hard to find because there was a little NEL paperback edition.

Also, there was a French translation. Copies show up on "addall.com/used" (make sure you are in the "used" section).

Let me know what you think. I remember reading that it was considered controversial. I should read it.

  3. Found a copy in Romanian, which is my native language. Hope to get it soon. I'll share my thoughts on that.
