    i love the images you chose here. and here i thought kuniyoshi just painted cats. ;^)

  2. That's right, Kuniyoshi's very similar cat paintings are well-known - there are lots of postcards of them at Tokyo's National Museum, for example. But the bats - not so popular, I guess.
